Monitors and operates a local Redis server from the panel. It does not bundle Redis: install.sh installs the distro redis-server package and enables the service, and the plugin reports as unhealthy if redis-server is missing or the unit is not active. Start, stop and restart go through the root agent (trying both the redis-server and redis unit names), while all read and data operations use redis-cli as an unprivileged local subprocess.
The overview parses INFO into server, memory, stats and client sections — version, uptime, mode, port, used and peak memory, fragmentation ratio, commands processed, ops per second, keyspace hits and misses, expired and evicted keys, connected and blocked clients. A keyspace view lists each database with its key and expiry counts, a clients tab renders the parsed CLIENT LIST output, and a slowlog tab shows recent slow commands with their id, timestamp and duration.
Configuration is read with CONFIG GET (filterable by pattern) and changed with CONFIG SET, with the key restricted to a safe character set. Edits made in this generic editor are runtime changes and do not survive a restart. The Persistence and Memory tabs (1.0.3+) are different: RDB save points, appendonly/appendfsync, maxmemory and maxmemory-policy are validated, applied with CONFIG SET and also written into redis.conf (in-place edits by the root agent, like the hardening script). They also offer BGSAVE, a streamed admin-only download of the current dump.rdb, a background big-key scan (redis-cli --bigkeys / --memkeys, throttled, 5-minute timeout, admin password passed via REDISCLI_AUTH) and MEMORY USAGE for a single key. FLUSHDB is available per database index. Everything targets the Redis instance on localhost through the default socket or port; there is no support for remote instances, replicas or a free-form command console.
Security (1.0.1+): install/update bind Redis to loopback, enable protected mode and move authentication to an ACL file. The admin (default) user gets a generated password stored root-only in /etc/vinzapanel/redis-admin.pass; administrators see and rotate it under Access. Each hosting account can get its own ACL user, limited to keys and pub/sub channels prefixed <account>: and without commands that list or wipe other accounts' data (KEYS, SCAN, FLUSHDB, CONFIG, …). Apps that used Redis without a password need the password or an account user after the update.
