Presents the server's core software as a small catalog you can install, remove and control without leaving the panel.
The catalog is a fixed list covering web servers (nginx, apache2), databases (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL), caches (Redis, Memcached), PHP-FPM 8.1/8.2/8.3, Node.js, and assorted tooling such as fail2ban, certbot, vsftpd, Postfix, git, htop and net-tools. For each entry the page shows whether the package is installed, its version, and whether its systemd service is active and enabled, with category filters and a search box; opening one shows its detail view together with raw systemctl status output.
Write operations live on a REST endpoint gated by the manage-components permission and are carried out by the root agent: install, remove and purge map to apt, while start, stop, restart, enable and disable map to systemd for components that declare a service. Package installs and removals are streamed over server-sent events so you watch apt progress instead of waiting on a blocked request, and there is a separate action to run apt-get update and refresh the package lists.
Two behaviours are worth knowing. MariaDB and MySQL are treated as mutually exclusive — installing one is refused while the other is present. And after a successful MariaDB or MySQL install the plugin additionally installs libpam-mysql and loads the PAM auth plugin, appending the outcome to the install output. Because everything goes through apt, this is Debian/Ubuntu-only.
Use VinzaPanel's REST API to download and install this app programmatically.
