Security shouldn't be a project. Here it's a default.

You shouldn't need a whole weekend and three tabs of documentation to feel safe. VinzaPanel is built so the secure choice is the easy one. Here's what's protecting you — most of it without any setup at all.

Two-factor that actually stops attacks

Turn on TOTP-based 2FA with the authenticator app you already use — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, take your pick. But it's the details that matter:

  • Password logins are rate-limited, so brute-forcing the login form goes nowhere.
  • The second-factor step is throttled independently — even someone who already has your password can't sit and guess six-digit codes.
  • Turning 2FA off requires re-entering your password, so a borrowed session can't quietly strip it.

Roles that mean something

Not everyone should be able to do everything. VinzaPanel ships real, meaningful roles:

RoleWhat they can do
AdminFull control of the server and panel.
ResellerManage their own customers and plans.
SupportHelp users without touching dangerous settings.
UserSee and manage only what they own.

Sensitive areas — installing plugins, granting privileges — are locked to admins only.

Quotas that guard your disk

Hosting plans cap the number of websites and databases and the disk space each user can consume. Enforcement happens right in the application, closing the common ways a tenant could grow before they can fill your disk and take everyone else down with them.

Least privilege, baked into the architecture

The web app never runs as root. The heavy, privileged lifting goes through a small, audited agent that does one job at a time, then drops straight back to the site's own user for file operations. It's the safe architecture you'd carefully build yourself — already done, and on by default.

A two-minute hardening checklist

  1. Enable 2FA on every admin account.
  2. Give team members the narrowest role that lets them do their job.
  3. Set sensible plan quotas so no single user can exhaust the server.
  4. Keep the panel and its plugins updated.
Start with 2FA right now. It takes two minutes and it's the best security decision you'll make today.
