Real email hosting, minus the nightmares
Running a mail server has a reputation for being painful — endless config files, cryptic DNS, and mail that lands in spam no matter what. The Mail Server plugin quietly ends that reputation. One click installs and tunes a full, modern mail stack:
- Postfix for sending and receiving (SMTP).
- Dovecot for IMAP/POP3 mailbox access.
- Rspamd for spam filtering and DKIM signing.
From there you manage mailboxes and aliases from the panel — no shell required.
Deliverability is 90% DNS — and we do the hard part
Whether your mail reaches the inbox comes down to a handful of DNS records. Enable email on a domain and the plugin generates a DKIM key and lays out the complete set for you:
| Record | What it does |
|---|---|
| MX | Tells the world which server receives your mail. |
| SPF (TXT) | Authorizes your server to send for the domain. |
| DKIM (TXT) | Cryptographically signs every message you send. |
| DMARC (TXT) | Tells receivers how to handle spoofed mail. |
If the domain's zone lives in the panel, these records are written automatically. If your DNS is elsewhere — say, Cloudflare — the plugin shows you exactly what to paste.
Your built-in deliverability coach
Landing in spam? The Deliverability Doctor runs a live health check: it confirms outbound port 25 is open, checks your IP against blocklists, and validates your live SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Then it tells you plainly what to fix — no guesswork, no forum rabbit holes.
One thing only you can do
Great deliverability also needs reverse DNS (PTR) for your server's IP, set at your VPS or IP provider to match your mail hostname. The plugin can't set that for you, but it will remind you — and it makes a real difference to inbox placement.
Prefer Google or Microsoft 365?
No problem. Route a domain to an external provider and the plugin sets the correct MX and SPF for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Zoho — without running a local mailbox. Host some domains yourself and point others at a provider; mix and match freely.
Own your inbox. Install the Mail Server plugin, enable a domain, and send your first email today.
